October 03, 2009 It bears repeating - this is truly the best movie theater in the metro. Comfortable, charming, friendly and community oriented. Add the oh-so-cheap ticket prices and the best popcorn around and it's pretty much perfect!

June 17, 2009 How do you write a love sonnet to a movie theater? I adore this place and would love to live there ... okay, maybe just visit on a weekly basis and eat the BEST popcorn (REAL BUTTER) in the Twin Cities while partaking in a movie in a clean, fresh smelling theater with comfortable seats. Did I forget to mention the quirky lobby that you will want to hang out in before the show? WATCH OUT: They only take cash but there is a cash machine in the lobby. Great place to take a date (go to the Riverview Wine Bar across the street then trot over to a movie)!

June 12, 2009 There is no topping the Riverview Theater for a long long way. This is a jewel of a moviehouse right in the neighborhood with cozy seats and friendly people and a good variety of films. Don't miss it.

June 09, 2009 The Riverview consistently has a great variety of movies, friendly employees, clean bathrooms, and excellent popcorn. They also strive to make it a community theater; a perfect example was offering free seating to watch President Obama's Inauguration on the big screen. And the price is right! Why go anywhere else?

June 08, 2009 The best theater in the Twin Cities and the best community minded and supporter of the film community. Maintained so well with retro flair while updating the interior and seating. And they have real butter popcorn! So affordable, and fantastic service. The best place for film festivals, special screenings and even sporting events! A fantastic local theater!

October 08, 2008 This is my favorite theater in the Twin Cities. It was built to the hilt back in the day and maintains is charm and (now retro) decor. They also have a lot of screenings and special events and are very community oriented. Being as they are so affordable, I almost feel bad using the coupon. And they have the best popcorn.
