Mirador has a great selection of kitchen and gift items. I think they are a bit too expensive, but worth it to buy local and at a eco-conscious store for kitchen items. I definitely take advantage of the Chinook Book coupon.

Yummy coffee, good rotating art, usually full of people there alone studying, reading, etc.

I've been shopping at Milagros twice, once while pregnant and once after my daughter was born. I found some great, basic, gently-used maternity clothes the first time along with a few diaper covers. The second time I went, the staff was especially helpful with my return and my hands full of new baby! I especially like their big selection of baby carriers and willingness to help fit and select one.

This New Seasons is a great place to shop. I actually enjoy shopping, there are always great things to taste, fun gifts to browse, and the staff is very helpful and genuinely friendly. I definitely prefer the Seven Corners New Seasons to the Sellwood store because it has a lot of selection and an easier layout.

SCRAP is an excellent place to find some inspiration for crafty and fun projects as well as practical office-type supplies. I have stocked up on recycled office items like file folders, note cards and labels. I've also found great are supplies like framing items, handmade papers, and blank note cards. I especially appreciate that the store funds their nonprofit education programs for reuse!
