February 06, 2009 townshend's is a lovely place to spend a few hours or just stop in for a tea to go. they have an amazing selection of teas, many organic, tasty local baked goods, and really nice teaware.

January 10, 2008 This is the tea joint to frequent. Not only is the selection extremely impressive (they have a whole wall of loose leaf tea) but they also offer a few unique drinks such as a black spice tea latte that is delicious. Another big plus is the calming atmosphere and this is not due to a bunch of empty chairs. Every time I'm there the place is packed. You just feel compelled to speak in hushed tones and more often than not your fellow tea drinkers are reading on the couch or playing a game of chess.
