November 06, 2007 Paradox Cafe is a great vegetarian diner on Belmont. It also has a hamburger on the menu for the meat addict in your life. The food is always abundent and well made. They serve stumptown coffee and have a great counter for reading the paper. A selection of daily specials keeps the menu from becoming stale over time. I reccomend the tofurkey sandwich (ask for grilled onions) and the yum yum smoothie. There salads are robust and delicious, as well.

November 01, 2007 Paradox Cafe is a Portland institution for vegans and vegetarians. They serve yummy dishes like vegan mac n' not cheese that you can get with broccoli and/or tempeh. Soups are great, as are the spicy hand-cut french fries. The artichoke dip also gets a big thumbs up. They make a regular hamburger if you want to bring your non-veggie friends. The decor is fun and retro. A great diner-style experience and plenty of fun things to do on SE Belmont afterwards!
