I live 5 blocks from this New Seasons and just love it. Though it is more expensive for typical grocery items, their meats, veggies, cheeses and breads are well priced for their quality and extensiveness. It’s the little things that make this a great place… the fact that they use the Monterey Bay Aquarium fish list and don’t buy any in the Red category. A friend of mine went through checkout and realized that he had forgotten his wallet. The checker told him to take the groceries and bring the money the next time he was in… he brought it in the next day. It’s such a great local store. The big chains just can’t compare.

Don't even get me started on New Seasons. I have sung their praises from coast to coast and always include them in my reasons for being in love with Portland. Incredibly good food, unbelievably helpful and friendly staff, a "try anything" policy, and a shopping environment that is almost a pleasure to be in. The wok bar, deli and weekend tastings offer just about anything you could ever want for prepared food. If you haven't been to this neighborhood location, you don't know what you're missing.

I love my weekly trip to New Seasons. The weekend samples are fun, and the staff is always knowledgeable and helpful. The wok bar is one of the best deals in town. This is one of the few places where I'm happy to pay a little more for quality service, happy shopping atmosphere, and an authentic mission.

New Seasons changed the way I view shopping. Employees have always been friendly and helpful. The food is great and it's nice to be able to find fresh, local food. The prices can be a bit higher than other grocery stores but are certainly worth it.

The weekend samples are fun and I pick up new seasonal recipes to try. It's changed the way I cook. They also have catering that I use for all of my meetings now and people love me for bringing the good food to a meeting instead of the normal boxed lunch fare (although they do have boxed lunches with GOOD food instead of mystery meet sandwiches).

I love New Seasons -- they have great food and awesome people. The deli is especially yummy, with locally sourced meats & cheeses, and great salads and stuff. This location is particularly convenient for North and Northeast, right on Interstate and the MAX Yellow Line...and close to the Fred Meyer, in case you need to go there, too.
