Great drinks and service. Try the "O" Don't forget to order the sweet potato fries and the calamari. They have a great happy hour menu. The only downside is there aren't many vegetarian offerings.

820 is one of my favorite happy hour locales – great outdoor patio in the summer, delicious drinks and good nibbles. I LOVE their sweet potato fries. Hmm… maybe I should go there tonight.

As a NE Portlander, I’ve been a big fan of 820's Kobe burger and Fresh drink. In fact, I've enjoyed the atmosphere so much that I moved my monthly networking event, pdxMindShare, there a few months back. While the staff is generally accommodating and professional, I wash shocked to receive an email from the manager informing me that I had roughly a week to find a new venue for the monthly event and its 30-40 attendees. I never got an explanation or even a phone call. Such a disappointing and easily avoidable experience. Now I've moved the event to Paddy's downtown, where the owner and servers take care of attendees.

820 has one of my favorite happy hours in Portland, especially in the summer - on the patio with sweet potato fries and a "O" cocktail (an twist on the classic mojito). A couple of the cocktails are a little too sweet for my taste but the majority are inventive and delicious. Try the avocado daiquiri and you will be pleasantly suprised. Lucy Brennan's bar lives up to the hype.

Mint is AMAZING! It's got great atmosphere, hard to beat mix drinks, and incredible food too. I almost fall out of my chair when I eat their crab cakes- they're fresh and filling, with a little kick to the sauce. It's hard to even pick a drink off the menu, and of the handful I've tried I have never been disappointed. Even the small things there are tasty, such as the pumpkin seeds, sweet potato fries, and calamari sides. Hint: Check them out during happy hour to have some great food and drinks for a very reasonable price!

If you’re looking for a great place to eat fabulous local food with organic ingredients and boasting one of the best drink menus in town then look no further than Mint/820. This restaurant is actually two side-by-side featuring very different decor but great food either way. I had a light and very fresh fruitslaw at Mint the other night and a PassionFruit drink that was just the right blends of alcohol and flavor. The atmosphere on the Mint side is warm, with neutral brown and green tones and great lighting. I vote it one of the coolest date places in NE Portland.

If you love fruity cocktails - this is the best happy hour around! They have great sweet potato fries and good lamb burgers - who knew? Its also centrally located, and with in walking distance of other great bars and restaurants. Luckily, if you have too much fun at happy hour - the Max is just a block away to take you home.
