Friendly people, delicious food, huge portions (good for another meal!), great prices. Whether you're a carnivore or vegetarian, the food is not only filling, it's really wonderful.

Laughing Planet Café – Healthy, filling and quick. They have been a longtime favorite in our house. I particularly love their burritos, which come in two different sizes. They have tons of fresh veggies to wrap in your tortilla, plus vegan options for those that need it. The Café strives to be socially and ecologically responsible, and they have fun dinosaur figurines for the kids to play with.

Great vegetarian options! My favorite is the black bean burrito. Delicious healthy food, cheap prices, quick services, large portions (enough for lunch the next day for me) and friendly people.

For cheap eats, Laughing Planet is hard to beat. The portions are large and healthy and tasty; a combination that is sometimes hard to find. Great for my vegan friends! Favorites are the Bubba and the Che.

This is a whole foods burrito place with a lot of charm. The food is very consistent and always enjoyable. The Che Guevera burrito is my favorite menu item followed closely by the Amazing Grace quesadilla. The local organic corn is great and should be added to every order. There are three salsa options available for topping your burrito along with a great selection of hot sauces. This is also a great place to get a smoothy on the run or a locally produced cookie.

Quirky decor and creative, tasty burritos make this place a SE Portland staple. The portions are ample--especially the Mondo, which might serve as more than one meal for some. The PB&J smoothie is a particular favorite of mine.

This is a good place to get some tasty, cheap eats in Southeast. The atmosphere is fun, and they have outdoor seating in the back. They always have a daily special, which I often try.

Laughing Planet serves up some of the best cheap food on Belmont. With the focus on veggie/vegan dishes (many you can add meat to, though), they are wonderfully inventive and multi-cultural. Make sure to get an order of chips and salsa. The soups are also great, especially on a rainy afternoon.
