July 31, 2009 Oops. I meant to give Bamboo Sushi an "Excellent" rating of five stars. Somehow my last review only came out as three stars. Definitely a five star experience!!

July 31, 2009 We have been going to Bamboo since it opened and it is our favorite sushi restaurant in Portland. Best fish, best atmosphere and best staff, bar none. They don't always have all the usual sushi because they only order responsibly caught fish, but the fish they do get is always melt-in-your-mouth fresh. If you haven't checked this place out, you're missing out!

June 26, 2009 This restaurant is fairly new and we just tried it for the first time last night. We were very pleased with the food. It's billed as a "sustainable" restaurant, presumably because they serve at least partially locally grown dishes. The message wasn't clear there. The sushi was good and fresh. We went at happy hour and as long as each person gets a drink, the food is very reasonable. Our total for a filling meal was $36. The tofu yakisoba was wonderful. Locally grown tofu, deliciously seasoned. We are definitely going back.
