Capitol Corridor

This train is very nice and is usually on time. I commuted from Oakland to San Jose on this train for a year, and found it much better than driving. I still take it when I have meetings in Sacramento. Definitely worth the price (who doesn't love a cocktail after work from the food car?) and so much better for the environment.
World Ground Cafe

I enjoy this cute little coffee shop near Jack London Square. The drinks are fine and I often think their food options are the best part. Yummy breakfast and lunch options that you can easily take with you to watch the water.
Piedmont Grocery

The cheese section is amazing and not overly pricy. I enjoy the local feel of this place, though some items are more expensive than at bigger stores. Overall, very nice!
Nabolom Bakery

This place has the most delicious pastries! The cinnamon twist is about the tastiest thing I have ever tried.
Tip Top Bike Shop

The folks at this bike shop are very friendly. Their prices for repair are great, and usually I am able to bring my bike in to get fixed while I wait. They were amazingly helpful as I trained for a bike race. I would definitely encourage folks to try them out!
