November 03, 2009 Anyone who's been around here for long learns that the Cheeseboard in Berkeley is where the amazing East Bay pizza formulation of garlic, feta cheese, lemon juice, maybe some corn kernels got it's start. Well Arizmendi sprang from its loins. They serve mostly the same, very satisfying food and baked goods (but without all the cheesemongers). And it's a collective, owned by the people behind the counter!
