When my friend forwarded me a link to the “Story of Stuff" website, I thought, "This is pretty cool." When my mom forwarded me the link, I thought, "Wow. I guess everyone on the planet knows about this movie...and thinks it's cool." My blogging world (if such a world exists) must know about this resource.

Annie Leonard, a charismatic woman who has researched the in's and out's of "stuff" for the last ten years, pieces together the story of stuff (thus the catchy title). She goes into the details of the elements of products -- extraction, production, distribution, consumption, disposal -- and finishes up with "another way" segment. The content is hard-hitting but palatable. The movie is about twenty minutes long and downloads lickety split. The production quality is high – animated line art behind Ms. Leonard really fleshes out the story and makes it almost fun.
