Why wasn’t this type of Mom’s group around when my daughter was in pre-school or pre-pre-school?

Check out www.enviromom.com.  EnviroMom is the website for a group of Portland women who meet regularly in SW Portland to discuss different green parenting topics!  The parenting groups, called “Greengroups,” can be found in various parts of Portland.

EnviroMom came about after the founders of www.readysetmom.com figured out that tons of parents in the Portland area were concerned with green parenting issues.  Both web sites have loads of invaluable resources, tips and suggestions on how to green up your family’s lives.  The Readysetmom site has lots of information on things to do with kids in the Portland area. 

Renee and Heather, the founding mothers of both web sites, are also both graduates of the Master Recycler course offered by Metro www.masterrecycler.org  -- something I have always wanted to do!  I can’t wait to meet these two women at their next Greengroup meeting.

Did I mention that their web site also has information on how to start your own Greengroup?  Greengroups are open to both Moms and Dads!
