On October 24 the United Bicycle Institute’s (UBI) celebrated with an open house at their new Portland location. Originally hailing from Ashland, Oregon, UBI has now brought their expertise, diverse training and advanced facilities to the Rose City.

Under warm sunny skies, UBI celebrated its open house with a variety of activities, including a day-long frame building demonstration, mini tech clinics, tours of the facility and a meet-n-greet with UBI instructors. Food and beverages were provided and proceeds of UBI’s frame raffle and "garage sale" netted $2,100 for the Community Cycling Center and $500 for the Bicycle Transportation Alliance to use in bike safety education for kids.

UBI is an exciting addition to the Portland bike community. Their new campus can be found at 3961 N Williams Ave, right in the heart of a highly-traveled, north-south Portland bike route.
