- Text the Fish Phone Send a text message to 30644 with FISH and the name of your fish in question. Save the number in your phonebook for easy reference. The Blue Ocean Institute will text back its assessment and better alternatives if your fish is at risk. For example, we texted "fish bluefin tuna" and received this message: "Atlantic bluefine tuna (RED) significant environmental concerns; endangered species; HEALTH ADVISORY: High mercury contamination."
