EarthDance: Short-Attention-Span Environmental Film Festival
The
fifth annual EarthDance at the museum features 22 humorous and
provocative juried short films in two separate showings at 7:30 and
9:30 p.m. Comedies, animations, documentaries, and adventure films
celebrate our connections to the natural world. EarthDance: Helping You

Kids Go Green - Compost Boot Camp
Get
into the magic and fun of dirt! Learn how composting at home can turn
your old, rotten fruit and vegetable scraps into “black gold.” Get up
close and personal with composting worms and other critters, by viewing
them at work with our special video microscope. Learn how to put
together and maintain your own worm compost bin and use compost as
fertilizer for your plants and in your garden

Berkeley Earth Day
Berkeley Earth Day is an annual event held in April to celebrate the environmental movement and creatively challenge the destruction of our planet. We provide cultural performers, speakers and resources to link individuals and groups with each other in community based ecological activities. Demonstrations include renewable resources such as electric cars, strawbale structures, hemp and paper free products. Enjoy the Berkeley Farmer's Market, Kid's Eco-Art making area, Climbing Wall and over 150 community, craft, business, government and food booths.

Oakland Earth Day – Clean it! Green it! Mean it!
Celebrate the Earth, help clean up and improve your neighborhood and other public spaces, and teach others how to respect the environment. City associates along with their families, friends, and neighbors will have the opportunity to come together to celebrate Oakland’s 14th Annual Earth Day. Earth Day project activities include community cleanups, creek restoration, neighborhood improvement and beautification activities. All volunteers will receive an official event T-shirt as a thank you for their participation.

2008 Earth Day Build-A-Thon
The Earth Day Build-A-Thon is Habitat for Humanity East Bay's celebration of green building. Our Build-A-Thon is an accelerated build. While it would typically take several months to completely frame six homes, we will aim to do just that in only four days! To accomplish such a tremendous feat requires the participation of hundreds of community supporters. The Build-A-Thon is different than a typical Habitat build day. No construction experience necessary!
