An estimated 23% of landfill debris comes from construction sites, so remember to not only reduce your waste, but also post your own leftover materials on the swap forums for someone else to utilize or donate to one of the following stores.

Find used building products at both freecycle.org and craigslist.org. Visit The ReUse People and see their stock online or at the ReUse Bazaar (9235 San Leandro Blvd, Oakland). Pop next door to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore which stocks a constantly changing supply of materials and uses the profits to build a Habitat house each year. We love to browse Urban Ore, the Sink Factory and Ohmega Salvage in Berkeley.
