Join teacher John Ryan explore sustainable gardening. Activities will include soil preparation, composting at home for your own garden, starting your own seedlings, choosing what to plant in a small space and much more! Class is held adjacent to Wildcat Canyon. Bring a picnic and take a hike after class. Bring your children and be ready to dig into the soil. All skill levels welcome! Drop in OK. Rain or shine! Eat: The CoG Winter Workshop Series: Beans 
Come for a demonstration of easy ways to include more healthful, ecological, and delicious dried beans in your diet and help you fit bean cooking into your lifestyle. Learn how to use beans as a base to create quick meals. Class includes tastes of dishes from recipes in Heirloom Beans and other simple bean recipes. Bring a small plate and eating utensil. All workshops are free and open to all CoG members, their friends, and anyone else interested in participating and learning more about The CoG.
