EcoManiacs, (don’t) start your engines. Get rid of them. The internal combustion engine has been chugging along since the 1800s and is in need of a makeover. Take stock of everything with an engine that you can live without — including items like your lawnmower. If you have an engine you can’t part with, convert it to alternative fuel. Diesel boats can run on biodiesel, or even solar power. Even better, try human power. Push your lawnmower, pedal a bike with a trailer and embrace your own internal engine.
