It's exciting to have a veg restaurant and grocery store right down the street from where I live. I tried their vegan tempeh scramble today, and it was just delicious. I recommend making a stop there.

I'm not a vegetarian but I love the healthy food and casual vibe of Proper Eats. The place is set up well to accommodate musicians for open mics and performances, and the cafe atmosphere and reasonable prices makes it a perfect place to go before or after a movie at St. John's Theater next door.

I like this place, it's hippie, it's cool, and it's dedicated. The food is organic, and the beer is cold. I've seen various entertainers from as far as Hawaii, and it's always a cosy show. The place not fancy, but I don't think the proprietors want it to be. They are dedicated to the community, organic food, and good vibes. It all it felt when you walk in. The groceries are not expensive, and the served food is pretty darn good. Much of their stuff is from scratch, and you can taste the homemade quality. I only have one request and that is that they cook their beans a little longer, they are not too underdone, but they are not soft either. Hats off to these guys, I wish them future success.
