Tom Friedman, in his new book, Hot, Flat, and Crowded makes a case that "green is the new red, white and blue."

Not to say I'm ahead of one of our countries most progressive thinkers, but, well....I said this exact thing a year ago when I designed my logo. It's always been the way I have lived my life. I am a patriot and the work I do is fully committed to that fact.

We have to realize that in order to be the good citizens that we are, we need to consider our planet as well as the people on it in the equation. This isn't a radical act, nor it it really a green act, it's simply is the way we need to live. All issues are connected, all things have an impact on our lives and we must start to take responsibility for that.

I'm glad to see that Friedman has taken up this charge. I hope people will listen.
