A new home eco store is opening, run by the Oregon Center for Environmental Health and stocked with goods such as glass bottles (with no bisphenol A), hemp shower curtains, and our personal favorite: laptop lunchboxes! Proceeds support the center's goal to eliminate toxic pollutants through community action.

The Oregon Center for Environmental Health works to protect public health and the environment by promoting alternatives to toxic chemicals.

In our effort to provide non-toxic alternatives to common household products, we have added Laptop Lunch boxes to our offerings. We will be taking orders for locally made- cloth shower curtains made of an organic cotton-hemp blend, and glass food storage containers, travel mugs will also be available soon.
Both bisphenol A (BPA) and phthalates have found increasing coverage in the news. Canada recently banned BPA from use in baby bottles and the LA Times recently reported on the dozens of chemicals found in PVC shower curtains.
