Green Empowerment, a Portland based non-profit committed to bringing water systems and renewable energy to rural communities across the globe, presents Sun, Wind & Gears: a 35-mile bike ride fundraising event this Sunday, Oct 4th.

The Sun, Wind & Gears ride brings renewable energy and local sustainability into focus. Riders have the opportunity to check out a wind turbine, visit PCC’s Rock Creek Campus, and cruise through parts of the 725-acre Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve. Riders will also have the unique privilege of touring Solar World’s Hillsboro plant. An information fair with food, beverages, and entertainment will round up the day’s events.
