The Portland Ecometro crew had the opportunity to visit Zenger Farm last week--it was so inspiring! An easy drive or longer bike ride, it's located in the city at Foster and 122nd Ave. You can visit, volunteer, or celebrate their 10th Anniversary with a public BBQ on September 12th (details below).

We toured the property, checking out the bountiful crops, energetic chickens and turkeys, fruit trees, grapes, bees, a Children's Garden, and taking in the countless other sights, smells and sounds. We learned about the numerous classes available at Zenger Farm and how it's deeply integrated into the community.

Every moment was filled with wonderment and respect for the hard work and thoughtful dedication of everyone involved. Our day wrapped up with a delicious family-style meal in the farm house.  Here's looking forward to our next visit--thank you Zenger Farm!
