Rayovac iPod Replacement BatteryIn April I wrote about iResQ, a website that can help you resurrect your ailing iPod.  But if all you need is to replace your iPod battery I recently discovered an even easier option – Batteries Plus.

At one of the 330 Batteries Plus retail locations nationwide (or the brand’s website) you can purchase a replacement battery for virtually any iPod and dozens of other MP3 players. Most batteries will run you only $29.99. Not sure you can pull if off yourself? The kit comes complete with tools and instructions. Still not sure? There’s even a YouTube video that walks you through the process step-by-step.

So if you’re iPod’s battery life is waning, put off the upgrade and pick up a battery replacement kit instead. It’ll save you money, reduce e-waste and get you living technically green.
